So, what kinds of anime are you guys into? I've written up bios for my favourites, and you can feel free to write up bios for yours too.
Vampire knight
This show is about a high school which is shared by humans and Vampires. The humans use the classrooms and roam the grounds by day whilst they are confined to their dormitaries at night, whilst the vampires stay in their dorms by day and use the classrooms by night. The only humans who know that the "Night students" are vampires are the prefects: Zero (Shown on the left), who was taken in by the chairman of the school after his family were killed by a pureblood vampire queen. Zero hates all vampires but, ironically, was bitten by the pure blood who killed his family and seems doomed to revert to a level E vampire (Insane vampires who were once human). The other prefect is Yuuki Cross (Shown in the centre), the chairman's adopted daughter. She was saved by a Kuran Kanami (Shown on the right) after she got lost in the snow and attacked by a level E. Kuran Kaname is the pureblood head of the night class students, and has many mysterious powers that none but other purebloods can fully understand.

Death Note
Light Yagami (Shown centre) is the pride of his collage, and one of the smartest students in Japan. His Father is the chief of police in the Kanto region. One day, a note book falls from the sky and is found by light, the inside cover states "The human who's name is written in this note book shall die", Light doesn't believe this at first, but after he kills a murderor who has broken into a nursery, he begins to take this seriousely. He hacks into his father's computer and realises that the system of "Justice" is actually incrediably corrupt, and sets about killing all the scum of the earth. Once he starts to enjoy his job, he is met by the original owner of the death note: The Shinigami (God of Death) Ryuk (Shown right) and he tells light that the notebook is his to keep, but Ryuk is bound to follow the notebook untill light is dead. Light purposely kills criminals using heart attacks, so that the world knows of his existance, but this results in an investigation against him (Or "Kira" as he is dubbed) being headed up by his own father. The police draft in the mysterious child genious Known only as "L" (Shown left). This then becomes a battle of wits from then on between L and Kira, and shapes into what is most probably the greatest anime of all time.

One of the most ridiculous, hilarious and charming things I have ever had the pleasure of watching, the charasmatic Keroro Gunsou, Head of the Keroro platoon, is stranded on earth along with his platoon members: Tamama, Giroro, Kururu and (My favourite) Dororo. The platoon are on a mission to invade earth, or "Pekopon" as they call it, but are befriended by humans. Keroro befirends Fuyuuki, Tamama befirends a very, very rich girl who has a SERIOUS crush on Fuyuuki called Momoka, Giroro falls in love with Fuyuuki's violent and energetic sister Natsume, Kururu is befriended by the school heart-throb Mutsumi Hojo who is also admired by Natsume, finally, Dororo (Who is opposed to the entire invasion and wants to save the planet from war and pollution ect) meets a female ninja called Koyuki. One thing plays key in the series, Keroro's love of afros. So much so that the ending credits after a certain episode sing a song which goes:
"Afro Gunsou,
The Gunsou has an afro
Afro Gunsou has an
a-fer-o!"

Hoshi no kaabi (Kirby of the stars)
Everyone knows Kirby as the cute little nintendo blob that eats everything, but this anime explains the origins of the adorable blob, and all of his abilities. His vehicle crashes in he little kindom whose name I forget, which is ruled by the evil tyrant: King Dedede (Shown far right), his snail assistant "Escargot" and his army of cute little waddle dees. A once great hero, Metaknight (Shown left), is now a mere servant to the evil king, as is at one point asked to take out Kirby. But when it is not metaknight's unfortunate job, King Dedede hires out monsters from the evil Knightmare corperation, which is the very evil that Kirby was created to fight. I can't realy say a lot more without ruining the story, but I can say that, Ena, this should be right up your street.

Too much money, the only animé DVDs I have are in the Death Note box set. But I used to watch it all the time as a kid, and I watched a few episodes on YouTube.
