I think that we (all of us) need to stop about Anette vs Tarja and other stuff....

Both of them are FANTASTIC singers....just....they sing in a different style

All I can say is this is a great discussion going on. so far no one has insulted another person for their personal preference and there has been no fighting as such. I'm quite proud of you all, as I thought I would have to lock this topic, but I haven't.

I never saw a point to the Tarja vs Anette stuff. I've never got in the middle of it either. I'll ask who perfers woh and thats it. But where is the point in saying one is better than the other? The two don't vocal styles anything alike. But what can we do but wait it out?

To throw in my own 2 cents worth, I think Tarja and Nightwish seemed to compliment each other more than Annette and Nightwish. Like it has been already stated they have two different styles but, if Tarja had to be sacked, I think they would have been better served bringing a singer with a similar style.

On a semiconnected note - I still have a problem with the way Nightwish went about the sacking. To post an open letter on the website before telling Tarja in person just seems wrong to me.

I like them both althoughth they are diffrent I simply can`t choose.

but i love them both, and anette didn't deserve to be hated the way she was just because she was the one to replace tarja. it wasn't her fault, and the fact that she stood her ground and took it until it went away shows what kind of person she is.

i was upset when tarja was gone, but as soon as i saw and heard anette, i calmed down.

i dislike it when people compare them, so i voted for both.

That is the best. You can not compare opera and metal =)

whenever i see some dispute on nightwish videos about this, i spam the messages. it IS spam, actually, since they're all going on about the same thing.

that's okay, everyone has their own opinion and it's fine as long as they don't insult other people while doing so.

there's a bunch of singers i dislike, too, so it's understandable.
