I arrived late for the Peel gig with Sirenia.
Sirenia were awesome, all the old stuff and laden with not to many new songs, but enough.
Morten is a massive geezer about 6ft 5in and just looks like a Nordik God (that he is)
Guitarist Michael Krumins was a fantastic string plucker (all 7 of em)
Btw, Jonathan Perez was on drums, so your news flash was slightly wrong, and what can you say about Ailyn, singing wise she was surprisingly good at covering both old and new, with a brilliant version of minds eye to finish the nights entertainment.
Soul Grind were a lot heavier, almost black metal, but a bit more tuneful, but both male and female vocals were growly and angry.
Apparition were their usual very professional selves, with fairly new singer Samantha Smallwood now doing the vocals and doing them very well, although she did hit a couple of flat spots on the higher notes.
Apparition done a raffle with T-shirts and CDs as prizes, me and my mrs. won a prize each. An Apparition album and a Scarecrown album. The Scarecrown album is absolutely fantastic. Their an Italian band and the female singer is a clear voice that strays into opera then screamo, and growling as well.
