As we round the turn for the home stretch on this album I thought I would let you all know the tracklisting for the album, and a brief thought about each tune.
1. Flicker - A song about the horrors of having to wake up for work, school, life what not. It is a mid tempo tune with a couple twists in turns in structure. The solo for the tune is done by Paul, Eetu is working on a video for it as it is the leadoff single for the album.
2. Halogen Dawn 2.0 - The album/single version of "Halogen Dawn." The storyline for both it and the long version of the tune is the stress and horror of living in todays wold and having to be a slave to capitalism. it is more of a typical power ballad, yet with a bit more intensity in the power sections. it is the second single for the album, Paul and I both have solos on this tune.
3. Virulent - This is the only tune that has alot of growls, with me both penning and singing a majority of the lyrics. The song is about the evils of credit, banks, and modern credit capitalism. Pauland I both have solos on it.
4. Harbinger - the instrumental track for the album, spotlights both Paul and my abilities as guitarists and musicians. lots of twists and turns, heavy riffing and soloing.
5. Cycles - Cycles is another mid tempo tune that focuses on the earth cleansing itself of our human sins, and once cleansed all will begin again. The solo on this tune is by me. the song also includes a gang chant from the Metal Warhearts Club I advise here on campus.
6. Tapestry - our closing ballad, it tells the story of a woman at the end of her life, thinking about where she has been what is before her, and the change from life to death... Beautiful melodies from S. Lee in her vocals on this.
7. Halogen Dawn (Bonus Track)- The epic for the album, listed as a bonus track,
running time is 41 minutes a bot shorter than our previous albums, but due to changes in schedule that has affected all three of us, probably morei n line with our releases here on out.
All in all I think this album is very diverse and shows new direction in our evolving sound. I am in the process of doing the final mixes and mastering for the album, wewill shoot photos for it in the ocming weeks, and the album will be premiered on Prog Palace Radio's Prog Metal Show on Dec 5th at 9pm eastern standard time. Which will be broadcast via the internet, and we will be in their chat answering questions and hanging out with those who attend.
