Well mine is "Cages," it is my favorite song I have ever written. I like all the changes, and the overall change in feeling from beginning to end, I also think Paul and Sue did wonderful jobs with their parts. Until Paul gets off his butt and registers I will pass along his answer, he answered "Since Nascence." He says, "hmm tricky since I only played solos, but I think the reason is the same, the changing dynamics and moods of the song, it was a lot of fun coming up with my parts."

My favorite song is a difficult question to answer in the singular. I have a favorite off of each album. On In Memory's Shadow, my favorite song to sing was Among the Stones. I wrote the poem that eventually became the lyrics for this song nearly ten years ago. I really love the imagery evoked by the words as well as the longing to belong that the overarching message conveys. On NightBorn, my favorite song is Reveler. I love the music, the lyrics, and vocal melody, particularly the synergy with which they came together. To this day, Reveler makes me move as I listen and I could never hold still as we recorded the vocals. On My Doom Box, my favorite is My Endarked Self. I love the energy in the music and vocals. The lyrics for that track came to me when I was in a pensive mood in the middle of the night. The lyrics are some of my favorite of all time and recording them made me experience each emotion on a visceral level. S. Lee

Maurice, The goals for us are very simple, to make the best possible music that we can given our talents, and hopefully through that connect with people in a positive way. A key component of Fateless Tears is the time S. Lee and I spend with one another. It is a way for us to grow the bonds of our relationship, and be able to explore the world around us. Underneath the music created is the love and compassion we share with each other and for our fellow humankind. The fact we are able to share what we create with the world and that some embrace us and the music is a huge bonus that we are grateful for.

And2DieIsEasy, Neither money nor fame is a driving factor for us in making music. We are driven by spending time doing something that we both enjoy and doing so together. Although, having people enjoy our music and purchasing it does not hurt our feelings any. All the best, S. Lee

Thats good. Many bands have split due to problems between bandmates, do you fear that this will happen to the band one day?

And2DieIsEasy, Richard and I have no fear of a split due to problems between us. As you may or may not know, Richard and I are married. We have been together for twelve years and married for eleven years. And our third member, Paul, is a very good friend. We have both been friends with Paul for eight years. We have no fear of tensions causing a split in the band. All the Best, S. Lee

| And2DieIsEasy I am gonna add a bit of an answer to your question about fears of breaking up.... I was talking to Paul about this today, and he brought to light some things Sue and I didn't really think about or comment on which I think are highly valid. Because the band is studio only, with no plans or goals for ever touring or performing live, we have fewer pressures to the band dynamic than normal bands do. We only have to worry about making good music, and being on time for promotional things In addition, because we call our own shots, and run our own record label, the only people we have to deal with and put pressure on us is ourselves. We as a group all want the same core things out of this endeavor so, its not an issue of putting pressure on ourselves. For Paul and I we have both been in the music business(World) since our teens, so that means 20 years plus for both of us, we have been in all the situations that cause breakups in bands many times, and thus have designed our current endeavors in such a way that issues or problems don't arise. Because we have similar issues in our personal lives, i.e. Health, work, etc, we understand when things are delayed, or something comes up that postpones an event or step in the studio project. So basically, we have designed this band to be the least stressful experience it can be... Yes there is stress occasionally, when a part isn't coming out like we had hoped, or if one of us is having a bad day and can't get a recording take done correctly, but those are far smaller and fewer in quantity, than most bands have to deal with regularily.

Tayla, interesting question, a tough one too... off the top of our heads, (yes I asked Sue and Paul both the question) we all three came up with the same answer, which was none... Now we aren't trying to be egomaniacs, or don't' think bands inspire us, the answer in actuality is far deeper than that, but at the same time still boils down to none. Here is why. (prepare for a really long answer) First, Fateless Tears, is if anything, is a way for us to have fun, express ourselves musically, and to spend time together. This works on two levels, Sue and I as husband and wife, and us and Paul as close friends, albeit over the internet, and have never met in person. (strange I know) So first and for most is that interaction, and joy we gain from working on the music and completing the albums. Now most bands do have this in their make up but I think that with us it is more heavily invested, because we are not looking to become famous as the prime goal. Second, is that Paul and I have been musicians on various levels from hobby to pro for over 25 years apiece. IN that time we have been in so many bands and projects that at a certain point we decided, (think all musicians do) that you can aspire to be as good musically, skill wise as another band or even specific musicians, but to try and aspire to their success level is a never ending road to heartbreak. Both of us had bands that we hoped to be as successful as back when we were younger, and actually that band is the same, thus probably why we are so close musically, and the prominent bond in the beginnings of our friendship. That band is Dream Theater, and explains why we are a Progressive band over Gothic or Symphonic, like alot of the other Femme metal bands. Dream Theater was/is a driving force in the development of our musicianship, their skill level on their instruments is outstanding, and you can gain something from their music at every level, that being said, somewhere along the line with both of us that aspiration turned to inspiration we both strive to create the best music we can, and be as proficient on our instruments as we can. Third the Sue factor, Until she met me all those years ago in the residence hall lobby, being a singer wasn't really something she thought about much, yes she had been in choir and theater in school, and yes she was a writer, her goals laid in plans other than music back then. In fact it took me 5 long years to get her to even record a song with me. So now here we sit making music and enjoying that time as partners in life. To her that is the most important thing. So all in all we are an odd bunch, we do promote ourselves, as much as we can for free, i.e. myspace, forums etc. and love that people like and enjoy our music, but at the heart of it is the companionship, camaraderie, both with the three of us and those who enjoy our music.

Hello to Richard and Sue. You state in one of your answers above that you have no plans to tour / perform live etc, do you see this as something which will ever change?
